About the Project
On a Friday night in late May of 1985, the Big Beaver Plaza was destroyed in only 10 seconds when a funnel cloud swept through Beaver Falls, tossing automobiles through plate glass windows and leaving nothing but masonry walls. In the years following, this once busy plaza was rebuilt but due primarily to exceedingly poor management it struggled to find success for the following three decades.
At Wish Development we thrill at identifying and reviving properties like the Big Beaver Plaza; properties with great potential but prior owners without the will or talent to deliver on that potential. The Big Beaver Plaza languished in decline and substantial abandonment for years prior to our acquisition. In about two years’ time, however, we were able to fully renovate this previously entirely vacant 70,000 SF plaza and tenant it with great businesses, new to the local economy.
