WAMPUM
UNDERGROUND
About the Project
We are proud of every project, including the few that we have sold. Wampum Underground was a property of ours from 2005-2020 and its tagline was “Wampum Underground – literally a mountain of real estate solutions.” This unique facility was resurrected from a former limestone mine in Western Pennsylvania. As such, it was huge – nearly 2.5 million square feet of usable space, and it was entirely underground. Carved from a 270 million-year-old shelf of limestone, Wampum had over 1 mile of lighted roadways, 25 interior docks, a full array of warehousing and logistics services, on-site management, and fully sprinklered warehouse. Wampum has a geothermal advantage where warehouses are naturally 55°F. It was truly a unique and interesting property.
